- Future Bride and Groom (the "Applicants") are advised that submission of this application does not imply permission to marry in the Roman Catholic Church or at Sacred Heart Parish.
  
  Applicants are required to complete a marriage preparation course and FOCCUS inventory, as directed by the Diocese of Joliet, prior to wedding. Marriage preparation may be adminstered one-on-one, in a class setting, at the Diocese of Joliet (Engaged Encounter) or online (where acceptable). Failure to complete either marriage preparation or the FOCCUS inventory may result in a delay in administering the sacrament. Additionally, restrictions mandated by the Diocese of Joliet, due to COVID or other public health concern, may limit the number of attendees permitted, with minimal advance notice prior to the wedding date.
  
  Applicants are required to be compliant with Sacred Heart Parish wedding guidelines, as pertains to dress code, sacred music, decoration, and the Order of Holy Matrimony as specified by the Roman Catholic Church. There are no exceptions to the content of marriage vows, and secular music is explicitly prohibited.
